We are 126km or 80 miles from Geneva Airport by road. This should take around one and a half to two hours. The route is simple enough: motorway A1 / E25 / E62 towards Lausanne, then near Lausanne, take the A9 / E62 towards Grand St. Bernard / Simplon. At Junction 18 (St Triphon) you come off and follow the signs to Monthey then Champéry. We are in the lower part of the village just 200 metres before the railway terminus.

You need a Vignette to drive on Swiss motorways. It costs around £25 for a year and you can get it in the UK before you travel. It is available online from Swiss Travel System.
By train it takes longer but it’s a lovely journey firstly along the lake and then up the mountain. You change once or twice. You can check the SBB train timetable here:
